Overseas Study Program for Students of Hannan University
1.One year student exchange program
There is a system whereby students of Hannan University may study for a period of one year at universities overseas which have a one year student exchange agreement with Hannan University.
2.Six month student exchange program
There is a system whereby students of Hannan University may study for a period of six months at universities overseas which have a six month student exchange agreement with Hannan University.
3.Short-term student exchange program
There is a system whereby students may study at the overseas university of his or her choice for a limited amount of time during summer or spring vacation (1 month).

Acceptance of Foreign Students
There are currently more than 160 foreign exchange students registered at Hannan University. Foreign students take the "foreign exchange student entry examination." Students who take the exam either respond to advertisements or are school-appointed.
Support for Masters/PhD Students
Special courses have been established for foreign exchange students to deepen their understanding of Japan. The courses are designed to provide the students with Japanese language skills and communication proficiency, as well as important historical and cultural knowledge.
Support for Daily Life
Hannan University provides support so foreign exchange students can live comfortably, such as information concerning how to apply for the various types of scholarships available, advice concerning procedures for reduction or exemption from tuition fees, counseling about daily life, and holding various events oriented toward foreign exchange students.
Interaction with the Local Community
Foreign exchange students have many opportunities to interact with the local community such as participating in local community events or acting as an instructor at neighboring primary and secondary schools.
