Hannan University has improved and expanded its own unique systematic career education in order to help develop people equipped for what seems likely to be a turbulent 21st century. Career education at Hannan University has attracted attention, and is it is now known as a "university that focuses on practical education" in close collaboration with businesses and local communities. Hannan University hopes to make a social contribution by raising student satisfaction and enhancing support for students in finding employment, support in obtaining qualifications and support in choosing the best possible career, as well as providing a full, rounded curriculum and academic structures designed to respond to the needs of the age.

History

1965 Establishment of Hannan University(Department of Commerce, Faculty of Commerce)
1972 Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics,is established.
1986 Department of Business Information Studies, in the Faculty of Commerce is established.
1996 Department of Business Administration and Information Science in the Faculty of Commerce is reorganized and renamed the Department of Business Administration and Information Science in the Faculty of Business Administration and Information Science.
1997 Department of Cultural Communication and Department of International Tourism in the Faculty of International Communication are established.
2000 Establishment of Hannan University Graduate School Master's Program in Management & Information Technology.
2004 Department of Cultural Communication, Faculty of International Communication renamed Department of International Communication.
2010 Department of International Tourism, Faculty of International Tourism is established.
2024 Reorganized into 4 faculties and 5 departments: Faculty of International Studies, Department of International Communication, Department of International Tourism, Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics, Faculty of Management, Department of Management, Faculty of Information Sciences, Department of Information Sciences.
